Exclaimer Mail Utilities provides a single interface to allow an Exchange Server administrator to create and manage signatures and disclaimers, and manage spam and virus protection for your Exchange Server environment.
Mail Disclaimers
Mail Disclaimers is our new server side product designed specifically for 64-bit servers. The software is installed on the Exchange Server and attaches signatures and disclaimers you create onto your emails as they run through the Exchange server. This means users will not be able to view or edit these as they compose an email but will be able to view these attached to their emails in their sent items – this is a new feature called “Sent Items Update”.
As it is a server side product, Mail Disclaimers is suitable for the use of wireless devices and OWA.
Because this is a server side product you are able to customize what sets of signatures and disclaimers are sent out from what email address, which department, to internal addresses, external, etc.
Mail Disclaimers also includes a campaign manager. This will allow you to select what dates for your advertising campaigns (say a banner below your user’s signatures) to start and how long they run for. You can plan a year’s worth of campaigns in one day!
We are aware that Exchange 2010 includes some basic disclaiming functions. I have attached a documentation that shows the advantages of using our product so it will be easier to promote it if you are faced with a customer saying they don’t need the product.
Signature Manager
Signature Manager is our product that works at the Outlook level, meaning that users will be able to view or edit their signatures and disclaimers as they compose an email (and these can be viewed attached on the email in the Sent Items).
Signature Manager is able to work with Outlook Web Access but will not be suitable for the use of wireless devices.
Although we call this a client side product, this software can be installed on the Exchange Server (it is suitable for all Servers) and centrally managed from there – this doesn’t need to be installed on any user’s machines.
If Signature Manager cannot be installed on the Exchange Server you can install it on a user’s Workstation and deploy it to all other users from there. If your customer is on a hosted solution but has a Local Active Directory this would be suitable for them to use.
Like Mail Disclaimers, Signature Manager includes the Campaign Manager tool that will allow to pre-plan marketing campaigns from the start date to duration.
Auto Responder
A newer and more powerful product for 65-bit products called Auto Responder is available now. Some features of this are:
• Instantly acknowledge receipt of incoming email
• Redirect messages to different recipients or a different domain
• Change the sender of an email
• Add extra recipients to an email
• Prevent specific messages from being delivered
• Prevent delivery of messages between specific groups or individuals in the event of a breach of policy
• Activate or deactivate any of these features according to timed schedules
