Get to know Gord, Sr. Media Design Consultant, Broadview Media

I studied & graduated with honors from Confederation College's Television Broadcasting program back in '92.

In 1997, well after having left the broadcasting industry, I acquired a position with a company called ViewCall Canada - Canada's first internet television service provider. Previous to this I had dabbled in some simple web design, but it was at ViewCall that I realized that New Media synergized the best of video, audio, text, images, and vector based animations - all with (for that time period) a fairly high degree of interactivity.

For the next several years I was responsible for developing GUI interfaces for portal services designed to showcase some of North America's leading thin-client hardware; Devices such as the Nortel NetVenue Payphone and Information Kiosk, Websurfer Set Top Box, Sony WebTV Set Top Box, and AudeSi Touch-Screen Java Tablet.

Since that period, I have worked as the senior interactive media designer within various development initiatives at MTS Communications, independent consultant, and Sr. Media Design Consultant for Broadview Media.
