The incessant growth of data, the rising energy costs linked to powering and cooling datacentres and the fact that some areas of major Canadian cities have reached the ceiling of available power, means that IT directors are demanding innovative products to serve their users and grow their business in an energy-neutral manner. Broadview Networks is dedicated to various environmental initiatives that promote a green business. Our company is sustainable, eco-friendly and operates in a way that conserves natural resources, eliminates wastes and minimizes emissions and harmful discharges. Broadview’s green initiatives include the following:
-
Use recycled and recyclable materials and biodegradable packaging.
-
Use “digital documents” as often as possible. This includes invoices, proposals and employee paystubs.
-
Reduce energy by switching off computers, printers and other equipment and lights at night or when they are not in use.
-
Encourage energy conservation throughout the company. The Broadview office is equipped with energy-efficient light bulbs, equipment and supplies that conserve power.
-
Cut travel costs by using virtual conferencing tools. Telecommuting also reduces our company's "carbon footprint"
-
Refill and recycle ink and toner cartridges.
-
Separate and recycle aluminum cans.
-
Promote and sell green IT solutions
