System Engineers are responsible for performing a wide range of work assignments supporting and implementing information technology systems; maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs computer systems, hardware, and computer peripherals. Type of work will generally consist of; Low to Medium volume of Project Work; Low to Medium volume of Desktop Preventive Maintenance; Medium to High volume of Server Preventive Maintenance; High volume of Service Calls; High volume of customer travel; Low-Medium amount of leadership & responsibility; Low-Medium amount of autonomy.

The successful candidate will have 2 to 3 years of experience in a consulting or technical service role. . Relevant experience will consist of; High level of desktop support skills with recent operating systems. Low level of support skills with older operating systems; Medium level with most recent operating systems; Medium level & good knowledge of network components and TCP/IP; Worked for a consulting company or desktop admin role at a company with 50 users or more. Desired certifications include MCP, MCSE, MCITP, MCTS, etc. 1 to 2 certifications or experience of other specialized technologies Specializations in Dell, IBM, HP, Storage, Virutalization, etc. are a definite asset.
