Sr. System Engineers are responsible for performing a wide range of work assignments around planning, implementing and supporting information technology systems. Type of work will generally consist of; Medium-High volume of Project Work; Medium volume of Server Maintenance; Medium volume of Service Calls; Medium volume of Customer Travel; Medium-High amount of Leadership & Responsiblity; Medium amount of Autonomy.

The successful candidate will have 4-5 years of relevant experience.. Relevant experience will consist of; High level of Desktop Support skills with recent operating systems, Low level of Desktop Support on older operating systems; High level of Server support skills with recent operating systems, Low level of Server support with older operating systems; High level basic knowledge of VLANs and Routing; Worked for a consulting company on support and project work with experience being a technical lead on small projects.?Desired certifications include MCSA, MCSE.?Specializations in VMWare, Citrix, Fortinet, Cisco, Storage, etc. are a definite asset.

• Windows 2000/2003/2008 Server implementation and upgrades
• Active Directory design and implementation
• Microsoft Exchange 5.5-2010 implementation and upgrades
• Backup/Recovery technologies
• Network Services (DNS, DHCP, WINS)
• Leading technical team engagements at client site

• Internetworking skills; including switching, routing, LAN, and WAN
• Firewall Technologies
• Enterprise Anti-Virus deployment
• Microsoft Terminal Server and/or Citrix Presentation Server
• Desktop deployment methods
• Dell PowerEdge/HP Proliant/IBM xSeries server platforms
• VMWare / Virtualization Methods

• Spam, Spyware and Content filtering; white listing/blacklisting
• Structured project delivery methodologies
• Disaster recovery planning
• Microsoft SQL Server
• SAN/Blades/Storage

In addition the Sr. Systems Engineer II must have; Strong written & verbal communication skills; Excellent Customer Service capabilities; Access to a vehicle for travel to customer sites..
